30 Day Book Challenge!

(This isn't me!)

For the 30 day book challenge you have 2 choices:
1. You can read 1 book a day for 30 days
Or
2. You can read a certain amount of pages a day to equal out to the amount of pages you wish to read in the total 30 days.
ex: If my goal was to read 6,000 pages for the 30 day challenge, I'd divide that by 30 end up having to read 200 pages a day for 30 days. This will equal up to my goal of 6,000 pages.

*option number 2 is easier* :D

More information is listed here in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcZDF7...

Let us know in the comments what books you're going to be reading!

I'm killing you guys with all the challenges right? But the more challenges you do, the more you'll complete the others you have! I know it sounds complicated, but it makes sense in my head. Just jump on inside, and you'll get it! :D

The Legend of the Seeker!

Okay, everyone, the Legend of the Seeker is my FAVORITE show as you will soon come to know. I've watched all episodes of every season MULTIPLE times. Literally. *Fangirl moment* AHHHHHHH! Okay, I'm done. Now back to business.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you don't know already, the Legend of the Seeker (LotS) has been cancelled and didn't come back for a 3rd season. I believe it was cancelled back in 2010...? Anyways, I came to tell you guys about http://www.smgo.tv, a website that is dedicated to bringing back popular TV shows that were cancelled. With the help of the Save Our Seeker campaign, we've exceeded our goal in getting enough votes! In fact, we actually went OVER the 15,000 votes!
"You are the first show to reach and surpass
15,000
16,000 17000 votes! Way to go! We wanted to extend a special thank you to the leaders over at Save our Seeker – they have done an exemplary job organizing this campaign and keeping you informed. Thank you again Save our Seeker we look forward to continuing to work with you to keep seeker fans informed with any major events (that we can talk about)."
"Our goal is to get a cable TV network interested in purchasing a 13-episode run of Legend of the Seeker." And as you can see, the voting is still open! The more votes we can get the better!
SMGO is still working very hard to find a network willing to keep the Legend of the Seeker running.
So please, nag your friends and family and get them to vote! It'll be worth it :-)
Synopsis:
When you can’t trust yourself, who can you believe?
Everything about Anna’s life is a secret. Her father works for the Branch at the helm of its latest project: monitoring and administering treatments to the four genetically altered boys in the lab below their farmhouse. There’s Nick, Cas, Trev . . . and Sam, who’s stolen Anna’s heart. When the Branch decides it’s time to take the boys, Sam stages an escape, killing the agents sent to retrieve them.
Anna is torn between following Sam or staying behind in the safety of her everyday life. But her father pushes her to flee, making Sam promise to keep her away from the Branch, at all costs. There’s just one problem. Sam and the boys don’t remember anything before living in the lab—not even their true identities.
Now on the run, Anna soon discovers that she and Sam are connected in more ways than either of them expected. And if they’re both going to survive, they must piece together the clues of their past before the Branch catches up to them and steals it all away.
Review
"Jennifer Rush's debut novel had me turning pages long into the night. Thrilling and suspenseful, Altered surprised me in the best possible way." ~Michelle Hodkin
I couldn't agree more with Michelle Hodkin. I was literally up all night reading this book. When I first started it, I was interested, but not intrigued. But as I read more and more, I found myself unable to put it down. It was fast-paced and full of action! It left me wanting more and I loved the character development. Jennifer Rush had me shocked at every page and I can't wait for book 2 to come out!
 I loved the scenes where Anna showed that she no longer was the little Anna Banana in the lab and that she could fight back. It was as if every page had a plot twist, and in the end, I was left speechless. I also liked Anna's character the most because of how easily I connected with her.I felt what she felt and I think the author did a great job in creating these characters. Because I connected so well with Anna, I was able to get lost in the story really well. The beginning was a little slow for me, which was why I gave it 4.5 stars. But all in all, the mystery and action really made it an amazing story about how the boys (and Anna) find out who they were before the lab.
The Hunger Games Review!
  • Age Range: 12 and up
  • Hardcover: 384 pages
  • Publisher: Scholastic Press (September 14, 2008)
           I found The Hunger Games a very enjoyable read. I was hooked from page 1 and I couldn't put it down since. This was the first book that brought me out of my reading slump and it was also my first dystopian novel. I reccomend this book to anyone that wants to get back into reading again or just needs a really good book. Some people may be turned off by the fact that you're put in arena and are forced to kill each other, but it is sooo much more than that. There is a lot of character development and world building. The book isn't just focused on the killing part, but of how twisted the government and President Snow is. This is a great 1st book in a trilogy that helps you to understand the world, the people while keeping you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars! It was really enjoyable, heart warming, and brilliantly plotted. The fact that Katniss would take her sister's place in the Hunger Games was simply amazing and even to other characters in the book. As you read on, many more problems will occur making it even more intriguing! You'll never regret reading this book! :)
" A violent, jarring, speed-rap of a novel that generates nearly constant suspense.... I couldn't stop reading."-- Stephen King.
